I had a great Saturday at Wimborne Minstead Folk Festival. Particularly the family show outside the library. It was a pleasure to meet the solar disco again - especially since he told me about the film that evening about plastic in the oceans. But the highlight was seeing Hand to Mouth once again. Me and my family have been great fans of them since I first saw Piggery Jokery decades ago. This time I saw their charming tale: Flights of Fancy. I recommend it to you all.

“Flights of Fancy” tells the tale of a baby Glovebird learning to fly, while the earthbound puppeteer and stick-in-the-mud musician attempt to get the show off the ground. Anything is possible in this menagerie of the imagination, where we meet varieties of Glovebirds who sing, balance and unicycle – and even a flying pig!

In a similar style to the internationally acclaimed “Piggery Jokery” and “The Dragon’s Tale” Martin Bridle and Su Eaton of Hand to Mouth Theatre present another whimsical and thoughtful rag-bag puppet delight, with music, laughter and feathers to tickle your fancy! The show is small but perfectly performed and guaranteed to appeal to adults and children alike.
