Researching Robin Hood

Well these past few months I've been delving deep into the history of Medieval England

for my commission piece. I've learned all sorts of interesting oddments. For example it was required that a handful of feathers from every goose in the land be sent to the King's armouries - for arrow fletching. Arrows were also needed at the monastries for quills and the smaller feathers at the manor houses for bedding.
